Lollapalooza is one of the biggest music festivals in the world, and to ensure a safe and smooth experience, all attendees must follow the festival’s bag policy. Below is a detailed guide on what bags are allowed, what items can be brought in, and which items are prohibited at Lollapalooza 2025.

Bag Policy & Entry Rules

  • All bags will be searched before entry.
  • Small clutch purses and fanny packs that are 6″ x 9″ or smaller do not need to be clear but must have no more than one pocket.
  • All other bags larger than 6″ x 9″ must be clear and smaller than 12″ x 6″ x 12″.
  • Hydration packs are allowed and do not need to be clear, but must be empty and have no more than two main compartments and one smaller compartment.
  • To speed up entry, attendees are encouraged to leave large bags at home.

Allowed Items

Attendees are permitted to bring the following items into the festival:

  • Baby Strollers
  • Binoculars
  • Cameras (basic point-and-shoot consumer-grade cameras) without detachable lenses or additional accessories (such as monopods, selfie sticks, tripods, GoPro mounts, etc.)
  • Empty reusable water bottles, hydration packs, and plastic or aluminum water bottles
  • Factory-sealed Naloxone/Narcan kits
  • Hydration/Electrolyte packets in factory-sealed, single-serving packages
  • Sunscreen in non-aerosol containers (3.4 ounces or less)
  • Prescription Medicine:
    • Must be in a pharmacy-labeled container with prescription details, dosage, and patient name.
    • Only a single-day supply is allowed.
    • Medicines that need to be inhaled or smoked are only allowed in prescribed inhalers.
    • Over-the-counter medications are permitted in reasonable amounts for the day, and their contents will be checked by medical staff at entry.

Prohibited Items

The following items are not allowed inside Lollapalooza:

  • Any bag that does not meet the size or material requirements
  • Aerosol containers, including sunscreen and personal beauty products
  • Blankets, sheets, or towels
  • Coolers of any kind (exceptions may be made for medical needs)
  • Framed backpacks, multiple-pocket backpacks, or oversized bags
  • Frisbees
  • Professional audio recording equipment
  • Professional cameras and recording equipment, including large detachable lenses, stands, monopods, tripods, selfie sticks, or commercial gear
  • Drones or remote-controlled flying devices
  • Hammocks
  • Glass containers
  • Illegal substances of any kind
  • Inflatables
  • Outside food or beverages, including alcohol
  • Umbrellas
  • Pets (except registered service animals)
  • Skateboards, scooters, bicycles, wagons, carts, or personal motorized vehicles
  • Tents, canopies, or shade structures
  • Totems or flag poles
  • Unauthorized/unlicensed vendors, solicitation materials, giveaways, or handbills
  • Weapons or explosives
  • Fireworks
  • Large chains or spiked jewelry
  • Carts of any kind (including Red Wagons)
  • Chairs of any kind
  • Smoking, including vaping, is prohibited in all Chicago parks.
